Mindset of a Millionaire

If you are going to become and remain rich you have to think differently than the way most people think. The single biggest difference between the self made rich and the rest of society is not their starting point, or the number of opportunities that came their way, or their education, or good looks, or any other of a thousand reasons that most people will offer you. The major difference between the self made rich and the rest is simply the way they think. So will you have to change your thinking habits if you want to join the ranks of the self made rich? Most probably you will. It is highly likely that you will need to throw out a bunch of bad thinking habits and replace them with a bunch of good thinking habits. You will need to develop thinking habits:-- that will let you see opportunities. - that will let you resist the negativity that others will more than gladly heap on. - that will let you identify and manage risk. - that will give you the staying power to overcome difficulties and obstacles. In particular you will need to throw out many of your most cherished limiting beliefs and replace them with empowering, inspiring beliefs. So what are these empowering, inspiring beliefs and thinking habits and how can you acquire them? Well let's start with the most important, the difference between being solution focused as opposed to being problem focused.Try a little experiment in psychology. Tell a bunch of the people that you have decided to become rich. Tell them that you are going to put investment and wealth creation strategies in place that will allow you to retire from your job 5 years from now with enough wealth to be able to live the life that you really want without the need for ever having to work again. Tell them that you will be wealthy enough 5 short years from today that you will be able to regularly travel to exciting and interesting destinations around the world. Tell them that you will own outright a luxury car or sports car or both. Tell them that in just 5 years from today you will live, mortgage free, in a beautiful home in the best part of town. Tell them that you will regularly eat in the best restaurants, stay at the best hotels, travel first class, and mix with the rich and famous. Tell them all this and more and then count the number who give you a list of reasons why it will never happen and then compare that to the number of people who give you encouragement and suggestions for how you could achieve these goals. You will probably find that most, if not all, of your well meaning friends and relatives will immediately become problem focused and tell you all the reasons why such goals are difficult or impossible for you to achieve, particularly in such a short time frame as 5 years from now. You probably even found yourself going into problem focused mode as you were reading the description of your life just 5 short years away. The truth is that at least 99% of the people in this country, and any other county for that matter, are firmly entrenched in problem focused thinking. We are all aware of the great advances that the human race has made. The truth is that all the advances whether, technological, financial, health related or any other form of improvement, are due to a small percentage of solution focused individuals. The great majority of the human race is just going along for the ride. How do you want to live your life? Do you want to just go along for the ride, or do you want to take charge of your life? Life was meant to be enjoyed. It's simply a matter of finding out how and then doing it.The good news is that the beliefs and thinking habits required to become successful can all be learned. At no other time in the history of the human race has it been easier to become successful. There are books, audio programs, internet sites and courses devoted to helping each and every one of us become rich, successful and happy. All we have to do is to get off our butts and take action.
